ITIL® Examination and Certification

Programme description

The IT Infrastructure Library® (ITIL®) is a Best Practice Framework in IT Service Management which is used by many hundreds of organizations around the world. A whole ITIL® philosophy has grown up around the guidance contained within the ITIL® books and the supporting certification and qualification scheme.

ITIL® was originally developed by the UK government organization CCTA which in 2000 was merged into the Office of Government Commerce (OGC) an office of HM Treasury. OGC is the owner of the rights to all IPR, copyright and trademarks relating to ITIL®.

The APM Group as the Official Accreditor of OGC is authorized to license Examination Institutes (EIs) to administer ITIL® qualification and accreditation activities.

The Certification Body for Persons of TÜV SÜD Akademie GmbH was an Examination Agency since 2002 and has been an Examination Institute (EI) of APM Group/OGC since January 1, 2009.

Quality and impartiality of examinations in the IT will continue to be the focus of our activities in the future.
