Homologation is the process of certification of a particular component part / system / technical unit / vehicle that is undertaken to satisfy the requirements set forth in various statutory regulations, directives or national laws. It is mandatory to get this type approval if manufacturer plans to export identified safety product or if one of the customers of the manufacturer plans to export the safety product as part of a vehicle.
