Dr. Debadyuti Das is an associate professor at the Faculty Management Studies in Delhi, teaching Sustainable Supply Chain Management- Manufacturing and Service sector, Operations Management, Production and Control for the past 6 years. He has been actively conducting research in issues of Reverse Logistics, Strategic and Operational issues of Sustainable Tourism and Supply Chain co-ordination.
Throughout his career, Mr. Das has published various research papers focusing on supplier evaluation with reference to high value and critical items, the passenger traffic movement in Lufthansa Airlines: A supply chain perspective. He has an astounding contribution in developing dynamic WPM supplier evaluation model using ESDQC approach, where the technical items presented underwent comparative evaluation with respect to 5 parameters, Environment, Safety, Quality, Delivery & Cost (ESQDC). The outcome of this project was rating technical items of the suppliers with specific weight for each parameter.
Prior to his foray into teaching at FMS, Mr. Das taught at esteemed universities like the University of Delhi and the Banaras Hindu University. Erstwhile, he has also worked as an assistant engineer in Manpower planning and development of working standards at Eastern spinning mills and Kalyani Spinning mills as a textile supervisor. He has completed his Ph.D Sustainable Tourism Development from the Banaras Hindu University in 2004.
