IRF Trusted Mark Certification scheme is developed by India Retail Forum. IRF Certification is a seal of approval from an impartial third party that a certified retail brand has adequate systems and infrastructure in place to provide confidence to its customers in the quality of service provided by the retail brand. Retailer / retail organization of any size operating single or multiple retail outlets can apply to get their retail brand/s certified.
TÜV SÜD is authorized by IRF and a listed Certification Body to do this assessment. Retailers aiming to improve and systemize their business practices to achieve efficient result in the global market can contact us. The Scheme has been developed in compliance with ISO/IEC 17065:2012.

The ‘Trusted Mark’ Scheme will address various segments and sub-segments. The categorization of the scope of the Scheme with its ‘Trusted Marks’ is as follows:-
01: ‘Trusted Shop’ – for retailers in formats like hypermarkets, super markets, department stores, specialty and convenience stores
02: ‘Trusted Spa’ – for health resorts offering therapeutic services such as massages, saunas, baths and manicures.
03: Trusted Salon’ – for parlours offering beauty, facial, hair, skin and nail care services.
04: ‘Trusted Care’ – for Gyms, Fitness and Wellness centres.
05: ‘Trusted Restaurant’ – for Restaurants & Eateries.
06: ‘Trusted Cineplex’ – for Multi and Miniplexes.
07: ‘Trusted Fun Zone’ – for Family Entertainment Centres, Gaming & Play Zones, Water/ Ice Parks etc.
08: ‘Trusted Pharmacy’ – for Retailer of medicines on prescription/ OTC.
09:‘Trusted Jeweler’ – for jewelry retailers.
10: ‘Trusted e-shop’ – for e-retailers & service providers
IRF will help to bring in transparency so that the consumers know what to expect from their purchase/ service from the point of browsing and buying to after-sales. Once the Trusted Mark standard is implemented, the credibility of retailers increases. Customers would then be very vigilant and inquisitive and would want to shop from the Certified retailers with ‘Trusted Mark’.

Our assessment services help your company to gain the confidence of customers by recognizing various stages of understanding and integrating IRF scheme into your business. In addition, we also offer comprehensive evaluations and reports.
Step 1: The applicant retail brand registers for IRF ‘Trusted Mark’ Certification by submitting the Application Form
Step 2: IRF acknowledges and conducts Mystery Audit on receipt of fee
Step 3: Applicant signs a contract with TÜV SÜD.
Step 4: IRF submits its Mystery Audit Report & self evaluated questionnaire from client to TÜV SÜD.
Step 5: TÜV SÜD finalizes the exact audit date & methodology
Step 6: TÜV SÜD carries out offsite review of data submitted by the applicant.
Step 7: TÜV SÜD auditor(s) complete the onsite audit and issues Non-Conformity (NC), if any.
Step 8: Applicant takes the corrective action and submits the evidences.
Step 9: Auditor closes the NC offsite or by onsite verification.
Step 10: Submits report to TÜV SÜD Certification Committee with a positive recommendation.
Step 11: TÜV SÜD Certification Committee reviews the audit report and evidences collected and takes certification decision.
Step 12: TÜV SÜD issues the client e-certificate under intimation to IRF & certificate in hard copy.
