Test product quality in a cost-efficient and faster way
Destructive testing includes a number of invasive mechanical, corrosion resistance and chemical tests, that give deep insights and help determine the product integrity by completely destroying the specimen and rendering it unusable. The specimen/product is broken down to its failure point and the performance is monitored closely using high end equipment.For example, if a material used in fabrication of critical equipment is not tested for the load it can bear, it can prove fatal. Not only will the welded joint pose a safety threat, it will also add to your recurring repairs and overhauling cost, thus, affecting your overall profitability. It is critical to know exactly at which stress level the welded joint will give in. Destructive testing provides important real-time data about how, when and at what point the product will fail.
The material, structure and metal composition is also probed closely based on the test requirements. The findings are then compared against the existing regulations and quality guidelines and the gaps are identified.
Corrections and replacements are adapted in the design, structure and materials used. Destructive testing is cost effective and highly recommended for organisations that undertake mass production and can easily spare a few specimens for testing by just incurring minimal costs.
