Upon receiving your application it will be carefully and accurately considered by both the HR department and the corresponding specialist department. In case of a positive consideration you will be invited to a first job interview. Depending on the aspired position and career level you might also be invited to at least one more job interview and selection steps such as an assessment center. The number of steps and your interviewers are carefully chosen and are dependent on the job level and position needs.

Are all of the published job postings still vacant?
There are only vacancies published in our career portal we have not yet found suitable candidates for. Therefore all of our job postings are up-to-date.
In few situations it might be possible that a positive decision for a candidate is made just as you are applying for the same position. As this might be the case in some events, please do not take it as a negative response if we need to decline your application. Please be welcome to submit your application for another position that interests you.
If you choose to not delete your profile, we will be able to review your profile again for other position that might be a good match for you. In this case, you can review in your account if we transferred your application to other jobs as well. You can update your profile for that specific job at any time via access through your account. Of course, you can also choose to withdraw your application if the position is not interesting for you.
Are unsolicited applications possible?
Yes, it is possible to submit an unsolicited application. Therefore you only need to create an account to our recruitment system and provide your names, email address and a CV. Your application will then be added to our talent pool and will be available for all TÜV SÜD recruiters all over the world.
Nevertheless, in general it is more promising to apply to a certain position published in our list of job postings.
Can I submit several applications at the same time?
Yes, you can. As soon as you created an account to our recruitment system you can easily apply to as many job postings as you like without having to add your data once more.
You can also choose to update your profile and individualize your applications for every single job.

When will I get feedback to my application?
As soon as you submitted your application you will receive an email confirming the receipt of your application. If your application will be followed up on and considered further you will be able to track the status of your application by logging into our recruitment system on the career page and reviewing the section ‘Track my application’. It will take approximately one week for our HR department to make a preliminary decision on that.
Can I work for TÜV SÜD as a freelancer?
Yes, you can. Depending on particular projects and tasks TÜV SÜD also works with experts on a freelance basis. For that please review those project descriptions.
I am handicapped. Will I be supported during the application process?
If you have special needs or are handicapped in a certain way we offer you the opportunity to mention it in your cover letter. We will then support you to the best of our abilities by e.g. providing barrier-free interview locations. Please also note that providing us with such information will not have any impact on our candidate selection process at all, that providing such information is voluntary and that we will never actively ask you to provide such information.

If you have already registered to our career portal you can login and access, change and withdraw your data and applications using the sections ‘Personal File’ and ‘Track my Applications’.
How long does it take to apply?
There are three ways of applying within our recruitment system. First there is the possibility to use our simple or one-click application which only takes a few seconds. You CV is transmitted and you will receive information about your account via email.
There is also the option to use a more detailed application process. Given that you have prepared your application documents this might also only take up to ten minutes. If you upload your CV first and approve to “Import data” the application form is completed with the data provided in your CV. You can review and add information if you choose the option “full application” instead of “fast application”.
A third option is to apply by using your social media account.
Can I apply using data from LinkedIn?
Yes, you can apply using the data from your LinkedIn profile by clicking the LinkedIn button provided by our system during the application process. This will extract the data from your LinkedIn profile to our recruitment system. After that you only need to upload a CV and define your login credentials to our recruitment system.
Can I cache my application and complete it at a later date?
Yes, once you completed the first page of the application form and by clicking on the ‘Save’ button your account to our system will be created and your application will be cached. At a later date you are then able to login to your account and submit a cached application within the section ‘Track my applications’. Your login credentials are the ones you defined on that page.
Your application will be already available in the Recruitment system by clicking the ‘Save’ button. Nevertheless it is only considered for a specific job if you decide to submit it.
How do I know whether TÜV SÜD has received my application?
After submitting your application you will receive a confirmation email by our recruitment system. This is to ensure that we successfully received your application.
It might happen that those emails sent by the system will be sorted out by your spam filter. Therefore we also would like to ask you to check your spam folder and as the case may be reconfigure your spam filter.
Can I delete my profile?
Yes, you can withdraw your applications and delete your profile anytime. To withdraw you need to login to our recruitment system and access the section ‘Track my Applications’. Here you can withdraw your applications to specific jobs.
If you choose to withdraw your application, your account is still active and you can re-use to apply for other positions at a later stage. Also, the information and CV you provided in your main file are still accessible in our talent pool, and we have the chance to contact you if we find a suitable position that could match your interest.

Please note that even if you do not delete your account, after 14 days of inactivity your profile will be deleted automatically according to data protection law. However you will be informed about this prior to that and be offered the opportunity to prevent the deletion by logging into our system.

Are there technical restrictions using the recruiting system?
Please ensure that you use a web browser that is supported by our system. At the moment those are Microsoft Internet Explorer (7-11), Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome.
Other web browser versions than the ones listed above might not be fully supported and the functionality might be limited.
While using our recruitment system pop-up windows might appear. To ensure the correct functionality of the system please temporarily disable the pop-up blocker of your web browser and activate java script.
For attachments to your application the following file formats are accepted by our system: .doc, .docx, .pdf, .rtf, .html and .txt. The maximum size for an attachment file is 10 MB.
The recruitment system can provide some information in .pdf file format. Therefore the latest version of the Adobe Acrobat Reader is recommended. You can download the latest version of the Acrobat Reader on www.adobe.com

Can I be notified of new jobs being available?
Yes, you can assign to your personal job alert by creating an account in our Career Portal. You can define certain job families, job locations or keywords you want to receive information of new jobs being available about. Unless you additionally submit an application, the account is only active for your job alert.
You can also receive job recommendations to your LinkedIn or Facebook account. Our job alert will match new vacancies individually for the qualifications and keywords you indicated in your LinkedIn or Facebook profile. To use this function, you chose to receive “your job recommendations” and log in via LinkedIn or Facebook. You will be asked to approve several access rights to share the data you’re your Social Media account. Please note that for job alerts via LinkedIn or Facebook you can only use one of those at a time. For using the respectively other one you need to log out first. Afterwards both options will be provided again.
How can I share jobs with friends?
For every single job posting you can use the ‘Share’ button and forward the job to your friends via Facebook, Twitter, Google+ or LinkedIn.
Of course you can also copy the URL of a job posting and forward it via email or other networks.
What is the LinkedIn and Facebook Recommendation section for?
You can receive job recommendations that fit the qualifications and keywords indicated in your LinkedIn or Facebook profile. Therefore you need to log in to LinkedIn or Facebook and provide our system with several access rights including your profile. Please note that for job alerts via LinkedIn or Facebook you can only use one of those at a time. For using the respectively other one you need to log out first. Afterwards both options will be provided again.
Who will have access to my data?
Access to your data and applications is not restricted to certain countries or entity as TÜV SÜD is a globally operating group and we would like to improve your chances and options of becoming one of us. Though only HR staff and admin can search and access your personal data and applications. Your application will only be available for other users such as managers after a first screening by our HR staff. This procedure guarantees integrity of your personal data and applications.
Apart from that TÜV SÜD will only use your personal data to process your applications. We would only request data which are relevant for the position and in line with the local law of the position to which you are applying for. Can I restrict the access to my data?
